I'm not sure if anyone has mentioned this or not but have you thought about bending the pylons slightly?
Rather then have them straight from the nacelle (similar in design to the Nebula) bend then up and down. The lower one bending up, the upper one bending down so it looks like they are folding in?

Just a thought!

.. I'm not following At this moment, if you would look from the side, the pylons are swung to the back a bit like a wing. Hope that helps

And more eyecandy, though it's 2D for a change An SCN user told me that it would be better to have straight magnetic confinement tubes instead of bended ones. This brings up the question: are they even possible? Some feedback from Treknologyexperts would be appreciated

Meh, I'd just say it uses state-of-the-art flexible magnetic constrictor coils to bend the annular confinement beam.

Cool design, very original.

It's not "treknobabble" but it's difficult to change the direction of a stream of plasma without using up energy. So, can it be done? Maybe. Should it be done? Prolly not, for eficiencies sake...

Sorry, continue...

I can't think of any reason it would be done, but no reason it couldn't, either. If you like it, do it.

Well, it generates considirable amounts of energy (think of the Defiant's core) so I think it could spend a little on the bended conainment tubes anyway

One thing to remember is that the Enterprise C and D all have curved pylons leading to their nacelles, so I'd imagine the same thing can apply here...

I like the creativity!

Sorry, continue...
