I think I've got the settings I want, or close to it. needs to be a little less bright, I think it's because of how i have the spotlights set up.

some more work on the staterooms. I added a head/sonic shower and a replicator. Still ironing out ideas for the flight deck... I want to have a large, open area that combines the flight controls with a comfortable lounge/ entertaining room. and I think the flight controls may face 90 degrees from the axis of flight (no windows anyway). enjoy!

Pretty good so far.

are you using hard/soft edges? It looks like there is some odd smoothing going on in some places?

Looks very good to me, I can't wait to see it fully textured...

For I dipt into the future, as far as human eye could see,
saw a vision of the world and the wonders that would be...

Adding the interiors just goes to show how big this craft is.

Great job so far, keep up the good work.

Are you kidding?

If you sincerely have never used it. I would say to try it. Select an edge and make it hard or soft. you will see the difference when you press TAB (smooth mode)

Im sure you'll find it making a difference.

Neat progress. We just need to figure out your render settings and see if we can make it look nice and neat.

Keep it up!

I like (and remember) the settings I've got now, just the lighting I need to figure out. The interior renders are so crummy looking because they're very dark -there are no interior lights, so I was playing with exposure and contrast in order to see everything. after lights, the next thing I've got to learn is texturing. I'll post the settings I'm using in a bit; making dinner now.

Fair enough.

Instead of going crazy with the contrast, you can adjust the intensity of your lights under settings>scene...

There is a box that is labeled 'multiplier'
There is also a drop down box with a list of all the lights you have in the scene (for selection purposes).

To get better light coming in from outside, I would go into settings>sun & sky...

skip (sun already exists)

and then crank up the intensity.
