Though it doesn't seem that small in the extended attack scene when the Raiders are flying right by it at close range.
I'm sure they can reload the viper tubes. After all on real super carriers there are only 4 catapults and they have embarked up to 85 aircraft on a deployment.

I think we are all going to have to wait until the dvd comes out so we can all closely examine the brightened screen captures.

Btw considering galactica is 3x longer than the largest aircraft carrier, and the flight pod alone is larger than a aircraft carrier, I don't know how people are coming up with these low ball numbers of vipers a battlestar can carry. I would not be surprised if galactica has a full up war load exceeding 200 vipers plus support craft like shuttles, raptors, marine planetary assault transports, and the the like. If not then what is all the room for? Those flight pods are frakkin huge!

The launch tube orientation makes more sense this way.

On the Galactica they make the tubes look several hundred feet long when seen from inside, but I never really get the impression the pods are that wide. Perhaps the timelords helped build the pods, but I doubt it.

agreed.

Hi all.

The images are now back. Basically I posted them before I had permission to do so, which makes me an idiot. Apologies to those involved. Obviously I can't post any of the reference images I have, so please don't ask!

To answer some of the questions:

The poly count is only around 400,000 triangles at the moment

The level of accuracy is around 80-90% or so. I didn't see the point in trying to recreate it exactly

The colour is nice, isn't it It's just the default colour that Max decided to give the first element and it seemed to render up a little nicer than a whiter/clay look

The roll bar is actually like the tail on a Porsche and retracts when not in use... Just kidding

@XRaider - if the images were removed then there was probably a good reason, which wouldn't make sending them round to other people a good idea. Next time, please check with the author before doing so.

I'm sorry, but your Battlespud is inaccurate. I have a reference here of the actual battlespud studio model.

Hope it helps.
