Exclamation

Ok, 1 pixel=3.23feet/0.985 meters - 500feet/152 meters is the scale used,

couldn't find my copy of the galactica, prolly on memcard, so, I measured Pegasus, and I have it from the guy who made it himself that she's accurate to within feet.

Pegasus dimensions:
height: 336 pixels
width: 735 pixels
length: 1878 pixels

whoops, it was in the wrong folder(me stupid for not making sure I was putting things where they should go, lol).

Galactica measurements:

height; 164 pixels
length: 1434 pixels
width(pods deployed): 551 pixels
width(pods retracted): 351 pixels

and I found this text on battlestar wiki:

An appreciation of the size of an original battlestar can be gleaned from a comparison to current Earth craft. A battlestar is over 4 times longer than a Nimitz class nuclear carrier of the US Navy at 1414m. The flight pod of an original battlestar is almost twice the length of Nimitz (at around 660m), is some 150ft (46m) wider, and is approximately as tall as the Nimitz is from its waterline to the top of the tower (aproximately 60m). An original battlestar's "alligator head" is as broad as the flight deck of Nimitz is long. Each of the nacelles of an original battlestar's outer four sublight engines is large enough to contain Nimitz.

I uploaded a pic of the scale used on the pics I referenced for my measurements as an attachment, purely to clarify the scale(spudmonkey, I hope im helping on this).

I would have much rather used the info scifi channel had on the galactica, but it seems they took the page down for no apparent reason, so, I used alternate sources.

I will remove that pic I posted on the other page, and instead post a simple link to it instead(that should solve the problem on etiquette, I hope).

Oh, my bad, SnowCrash. Although the tubes are shped to accommodate a Raptor, they don't have space for the twim vertical stabilizers. And sorry for starting off the whole "why can't you post..." argument. I just wasn't clear on what was being said. I completely understand the whole nondisclosure in regards to references, though in my case it's music instead of models.

the compariso problem ...

I think this could help guys. But beware of spoilers for the extra-scenes on the "Razor"-DVD:
.
.
.
.
.
On this shots you can see clearly (o.k., maybe not so clearly ) a raptor standing in the starboard hangar and seconds later destroyed by the explosions.

I donīt know the size of a raptor but it seems to be the valkyrie is much smaller than the Big G or the Peggy. So guys, who wants to calculate it?

By the way, Spudmonkey I love your work! Get well soon and then show us what you can!
