| AT-PT and other Star Wars stuff ![]() Hey guys Im thinking about doing some small Star Wars vehicles and possibly a few structures for a project I have been mulling over after talking with Foolsgold. Primarily these stuctures will be of an Imperial nature ( I supose)...I always liked the Roque Sqaudron games by Factor 5 ( but who likes to keep playing the same battles over and over and over, right?- I wish the team behind the excellent Ace Combat series would take up the torch! ) What the project boils down to is to create models and possibly images in an effort to pay tribute to the primary game Star Wars Roque Squadron.Ok on to the first model. The AT-PT. I have only seen limited source material on this walker other than in the guide books and in a few of the games...so alot of this one may be scratch until more reference pics come my way. That being said there seems to be two distinct varients of the AT-PT. One being the one used in strategy games( Force Commander, Empire at War- the Troy Vigil one) The other being a more sleek version that is more true to Doug Chiang's concept drawing. It seams that the AT-PTs that appear in the Roque Sqaudron series of games combine a few elements of both. I will build this version and possibly the Troy Vigil one at some point down the road as well. Also I will create a varient that employs the Tributary laser as its primary weapon. (episode II gunship "cutting beam" weapon) Acording to all the books most At-Pts where lost aboard the ships of the Katana Fleet a couple of years before the events of Episode 2. So I figure that some of these that where elsewhere showed up at some point in the Clone Wars and saw at least some action. It only follows that some of these where upgraded as new technology was coming online. This(whatever Im doing ) will probably take me forever......Questions and comments are more than welcome. Got any ideas about anything I would love to hear them! |

| Thanks Ozylot. My main goal in the project is actualy to finish something! ![]() Second I will be creating both low and high poly versions of the various models. For distance and up close shots. I will be attempting to create various Imperial structures in such a fasion that one can fabricate a base of various size depending on ones preferences. A modular system more or less...But Im still rethinking and streamling this at the moment. Just worked on the AT-PT footpad this afternoon and realy havent gotten enough done to show you guys. Also still havent gotten around to uploading a thumbnail yet. |

Havent done much realy. Got around to doing the windscreen today..and thats it. Looking forward to getting everything roughed in so that I can break everything done into subassemblies. That is probably the reverse way of doing things. But at least I havent quit on it yet....Not much detail to put into an AT-PT is there unless you want to greeble up the bottom but that dosent make much since, since someone could just reach up and break something. ![]() ![]() | |

| SFM Oracle | Looks good. For what I remember, the AT-PT was one of the smallest ones. Equal to these little ones from RotS. |
