"Scar" Original Universe ships

Hello there

This is my first post on here after lurking around this site for about a week or so.

This is my fourth 3ds Max model. I had been using Truespace before that.

A yet unamed command ship for a universe that I have been creating. I'm still working out faction names, but so far, the key players are "The Empire", and "The Union", which are in a state of cold war, under similar circumstances to the real cold war between the US and USSR.

I plan on potentially using this ship, when completed, in a short film.

Edit: I have decided on a plotline for the film, that takes place a few decades or so, before my original cold war idea, which involves the beginning of a war that eventually leads up to the cold war. I'll be posting ships and technology from the Imperial and Union side here, as well as a new Republic side, which I'm still developing.

I'm glad that you were able to make the jump between programs (though i would've suggested another program to jump to)!

Nice design, but don't fall to much in love with mirroring everything.

And welcome to the forums!!

Nice I especially like that it appears to have reverse thrusters.

As someone who also made the transition from truespace to max a long time ago, welcome! I think you'll find it to be a lot more powerful though it has some wierd little quirks as well.

Great design. Looking forward to seeing more!

Thanks everyone

So far I have found that I can do much more with Max than with Truespace, plus the fact that my version of Truespace doesn't seem to take advantage of my quad core cpu.

But nothing is perfect. I plan on learning Max on my own, and then learning Maya in college.

Actually these are most likely going to be either weapons bays, or they'll contain some sort of sensor arrays. I plan on possibly giving it a few rear thrusters, but its main form of propulsion will be a gravity manipulation drive.

Hopefully I'll be able to work on this ship over the weekend, since I have to finish editing a few videos that my dad filmed during his trip to Nepal. And then college starts again. Bah!
