The look and feel of that trailer was awesome. If the movie is anything like that trailer, this will be the most original Star Trek since the first.

Many objected to the Lethe's Deflector as well. Not that something how many hundreds of years in the future will work exactly like it does today. . . . lol

Negatory on the blue engine grids, too reminiscent of the TNG era. Although, if you look really close, there is a faint blue/violet tint at the ends of the glow panels.

Same goes for the deflector glow idea: too TNG. I won't rule out the idea of putting some kind of glowy bits back inside those concentric rings or something like that, but it's really not a look I'm fond of for TOS ships especially.
