Thanks

Yep, SketchUp can be a pain though I've done more in it than I thought I would! The pylons are reminiscent of the pic here.

This is a tiny pic but I don't have the right to post the ones I've saved. They are out there but I don't have time right now to find them.

I'm making them into ship killers. Big guns!!!
Found another pic. Still small. Click here.

Still sick so I'm just hanging out at home playing around with this ship. I've added gun platforms to the front of the engine block. I think I will have a mix of anti ship missiles and rail guns.

I'm kind of going with atomic rockets so heat is a big issue and there are no magic shields or ultra energy whiz bang stuff. I guess its enough to have faster than light and artificial gravity eh?

Well tell me what you think of her so far

I'm looking forward to mirroring this and putting it all together. Would be nice to see the full ship. Then I can detail the stuff that isn't symmetrical.

I'm just using TurboSketch. It really isn't very good for this. It works much better when rendering buildings on the ground but that is what it was designed for. I have kerkythea but haven't been able to figure it out which is annoying as so many people have posted that they played around with it for only a few hours and produce pretty good looking renders. I was never one to be able to do that without some help.

Rail guns and anti-ship missile systems. Oh, just thought that they might be good for anti-missile as well.
