Whoa, this has come along nicely since I last looked in. It's looknig quite saucy now. Does your application allow you to hide pieces so you can focus on the smaller bits which you are developing? the wdie shots needed for fitting in the overall scale are nice, but I think they're hiding the fruits of your labours!

Hi cavebear, you have some interesting ship here I really like your hospital ship as it reminds me of a ship in the cartoon program skyland
Keep up the good work

Thanks Ice-Dragon, I had to google skyland and took a look at a web page with a trailer. I think I see why the hospital ship reminds you of the one in the show

I plan on working on all three ships a little at a time. Get bored of one, go to the next

Hey there Dannage, I think you can hide what you don't want to see but I don't know if I can do that when I render. Maybe when I get home from work tonight I'll try to do just the bridge section in a render. If it doesn't work then I'm sure that I'm just not familiar enough with the program

Well, I decided to try out rendering without seeing anything but the bridge before I go to work and it worked.

There you go, now it will be easier to focus on bits and show them off..

Now, depending on how good you (and the software) is at texturing, you might not even need much more detail that that for your first pass at the ship!

Okay I'm just working on some components for the MDS Iron Sun carrier. The first one is the antenna array (type 1) and the second is Flyco (where landing operations is located for each of the main landing bays) The windows in flyco are double thick and I put in 3 overhead lights. This component will be placed above and centre of each bay (recessed into the current structure hence the small room behind the glass).

Was working on the Iron Sun again and put in the start of a small craft bay. I have to put hangar doors in (sliding type that you would find in many of todays aircraft hangars) and other stuff.
