| LOL, opk you got mer on the doors ![]() after looking at this omne again: Cargo_Bay_Design thay are straight up. there seems to be a lot of room on the sides of the cargo/landing area that aren't seen, so the bay itself won't be 100% up against the hull. if you notice, there are 2 passageways off the side that go 90 degrees from the bay. and his text says there's escape pods and other stuff back there. |

As for it bumping right up against the hull, most of it does. In the movie, right after Kirk and Scotty arrive, they step off the shuttle and right onto that walkway. The gap is about 2 meters. So, given all the inconsistencies, I'm going to go for something that fits, even if it doesn't precisely match what's seen on film.

| hmm you changed the girders but now they don't match probert's matte, also the walkway doesn't have railings on both sides, the other side goes right up to the girders and the wall how are you finding that main door? on the web page proberts says he wanted that door between the walkway to be unaffected by the large main door being open, but I wouldn't have thought there was enough space for the pieces to fit without spilling over a bit, it's hard to tell though |

| Count me among those who missed this thread until now. Great work so far! Here's something you'll probably need somewhere down the line. It's my reconstruction of the cargo containers, using a small set drawing from the Phase II days. I hope you can make use of it. |

However, I just bumped into a big problem... the walkways terminated right into the workbee station. So, I had to slide everything inward by a couple of meters. Now, the inside's even smaller and looks more awkward now that the walkway is a couple of meters away from the wall. I'm going to have to add a second wall just so the walkway doesn't appear to be so far out into the room.

| basically you're going to have to not curve the walls, just make all the walls go straight back into the ship and not curve with the hull, it'll give you more room for the corridoors and lifeboats that are supposed to be out there, and the moving floor also I know probert made an effort on the right side of the matte to curve the walls in, but if you look at the rest it just looks straight |
