I like the shuttlebay. My one comment would be that some of the support beams on the upper deck do not continue on to the deck below. I would think that they should do that.

As to the Kaluwalhatian, it's not my cup of tea, but my biggest crit would be that there seems to be no need in the Star Trek universe for a carrier-type vessel. All of the fighters we have seen in ST are warp-capable, and the Feds don't really have a fighter-class vessel.

Aresius.
Yeah, the nose is ugly, so I'll probably do something like a modern equivalent to the Bonaventure( I believe that is the right class, where the secondary hull passed through the saucer.

CrimsonLine.
BEAMS: I dont understand what you are saying about the support beams. They do not continue into the bottom level, because the bottom level is not as wide as the main hangar.

CLASS: I know that trek fighters are for the most part warp-capable, but how long does it take the Enterprise-D to rush at Warp 9 from some far flung location to Mediacl Base 12, with the little boy who ate the poison fruit by accident. Somewhere around 4-5 days if I remember, sorry I don't know the episode name. How big are those fighters, so how tedious could it get, and tiring to fly the same distance, and have about the space of 2 Class 11 shuttles (wild guess at size of accomadations). The one thing a fighter pilot needs to survive, next to combat skill, is alertness. If he is tired and stiff, he going to get shot down fast.

The solution, a ship meant to transport a fighter wing to the vicinity of a battle and deploy them, much like the modern aircraft carrier. Sure our jets can cross the globe, but by the time they do so the pilot is not going to be running at full power.

I don't know much about DS9, but in the big battle, where the Defiant goes down, there are several shots of the Peregrin Class fighters, I doubt that they flew from around the galaxy a week ago, just to rest up before the battle. some where probably stationed at Terok Nor, but where did the others come from. My guess is the distant ones came on a motherbird of some sort, such as a conscripted Galaxy.

So logistically, why not produce a HARD-hitter, that can move the fighters LONG range, and keep pilots at their full combat potential, as well as direct fleet operations.

ON ANOTHER NOTE, UPDATES!!!

I have redone the walls, and added lights and main deck cargo areas to the Shuttlebay. The light fixtures are some of Jedilaw's Greebles. I am thinking of a graphical forcefield for the hangar door, since there will be several hangars, I thought i would have a forcefield that would display the hangar number on it(texture is not final).

Sketches for the cargo bays would be helpful, but are not necessary, as I will probably use the same frame work as in the main bay.

COMMENTS PLEASE!!!

uhhhh, is that a set for Star Wars?

Has the feel (colour texture!!!) like an ISD..

Well, there forcefield does not show anything (but the end of the atmosphere). For the hangar count are the doors..

Bonaventure style for this one... Hm. Seems to fit.

ST forcefields are usually invisible except where something touches it. Having the hangar number and stuff is impractical, before a pilot leaves or enters the hangar, the ship computer already provides the pilot computer proper destination/departure coordinates.

Aresius and Homer.
Thanx for the quick replies. Yeah the door is wrong, but as I said, its not final.

About the textures, Aresuis, I'll keep the scheme, so the maps, but use mixers to redo the colors.

There will be a lull most likely, for the next week, because of spring break, which will prevent me from using a fast connection to upload pics, but I will try to keep the text updates coming as fequently as possible.

Here are some pics of the prototype fro the ship. Saucer shape and the hull ARE NOT FINAL, especially the rear end of the Secondary.

Looks quite good. But lower the height of the secondary hull or shift it more into the saucer.

And I think, the patterns on the saucer are WAAAAAAAAAY too thick.

I really like the Idea of having multiple viewscreens on the bridge.
