Hey guys, Here are some updates of the ship. I will probably redo the hangar module, but this is the basic layout that I am considering. Suggestions? Especially on the Hangar Pods and Nacelle style. I'm thinking a cross between the Intrepid and Galaxy class nacelles.

Hehe, sweet. The original bridge sketches were mine, from at least five years ago. ![]() Mark's Bridges! Glad to see someone has finally done SOMETHING with one of them! Rock on, dude! Mark

I know I'm getting started on the discussion a bit late, but ... 1) what about merging the three secondary (hangar) hull sections into a single larger segment or maybe the two hangar sections only and do away with the central portion? 2) What about having the two outboard nacelles sloping downwards? I know they are supposed to project a field that essentially pulls a ship through space, but I think you'd get a much more uniform field coverage if you essentially went with center-of-mass considerations.

Aresius. Is that: I THINK THATS A NICE SHIP! or is that: Thats a nice ship (pause), I think. ![]() gthompsn. in response to point #1 of yours. I am working on that, unfortunately I have a lot of trouble at times because I have to use Virtual smoothing to keep the lines of the ship smooth, so while it might look like there are 100,000 polys to the model, there actually only 1000 or so. But yes, I am working on that option, and if go back through this thread there is a picture of what I wanted to do and still might do, with some suitable alterations, to make it slightly more canon. Point #2. I might slope the pylons down, but if I can pull off the shape of the ship in the sketch I mentioned above, I probably won't have to. So we'll see where this goes, and go from there. Mark Nguyen. I found those a LONG time ago. In fact I actually made a Voyager style bridge using a mix of one ofyour sketches (one of the Explorers, I think) and some magazine ripouts from Ex Astris Scientia - Bernd Schneider's Star Trek Site. There is a pic of it at http://www.trekmeshes.ch/publicgalle...___Lighted.JPG. Not perfect, but pretty good for my first interior project.

| SFM Oracle | Well actually rather the first. *lol* It looks nice, I say, just needs some little work. The outer pylons down; maybe. Maybe ships have their pylons to sides or downward. The trimaran-shaped secondary hull: please leave that as it is; that's damn cool. And besides it's quite redundant. If one gets destroyed, ye still have two remaining. |

Aresius, thats what I was thinking about the ship shape. Unfortnately, sevaral large papers have been dumped on me at the same time, so updates will be small, and will come on only sundays or mondays. Other than that nothing more to add
