| I think it would be fine to leave the warp nacelles where they are. In the Star Trek universe, it is a good idea to keep the warp field away from people, but whose to say that its absolutely necessary? Maybe there are other design considerations for it being just the way you have it now. As you said, it is a carrier and there are certain things you have to do differently in that case. |

| SFM Oracle | You want to have them still on pylons? Hm.... I would object this under one term. If the nacelles apply to the 3rd rule of starship designing, the pylons are not necessary. |

| Aresius. 3rd rule? what is it? The nacelles will not necessarily remain on the pylons, they were a test in response to "Meph" and "Pacal" reminder about the warp fields effect on organic life. What I'll probably do is have it both ways, like the "excelsior" and its different configurations. Here is render from the upper-rear. NOTE: Unless I can come up with a solution, the pylon mounted nacelles look like they are going to stay. REASON: with them faired into the hull and pods, there is no way for phasers emitters to be mounted, so that they could cover the rear end of the ship. -I would appreciate any suggestions that you guys might have.- |

| OH......MY.......GOD. ~puts a styrofoam cup on a string around my neck to catch the drool.~ That's a tasty ship!!! The Federation's answer to the Neg'var-Class Klingon Battlecruiser. This thread should've been titled, "STAR TREK: FEDERATION ONE". |

| SFM Oracle | Here you go, scroll a bit down: Ex Astris Scientia - Starship Design Guidelines I'd prefer them on the pod themselves, like with the centre one. You could also attach some small strips of phasers onto the ends of the nacelles, I guess... See the attachment, something like this. |

| Hellsgate. Didn't I tell you to bring a towel, lasttime. Thanx.Aresius. Thanx for the link, it helped. About the phasers- I'll probably add those strips to the nacelles and have the nacelles in both positions. I don't think that there is much left for me to do to this ship. I need to clean up a few things on the main textures and it should be done. |

| Hmmm, true that... on the pylons they look too much out of place. I guess the main issue is that they look too much like they're copy/pasted. they have different design lines than the rest of the (gorgeous) curves on your ship. Perhaps they would look better when they're more blended into the body, a bit defiant-like. Anyways, I realise that these comments are coming pretty late in the build so diregard at your own discretion. |
