Original Universe: Transport

I thought I'll post some WIP of a transport I'm working on.
It's an atmospheric fighter, wich is being used to transport supplies, vehicles and soldiers to the battlefield. The cargo will be hold underneath the plane, in a drop ship like the ones from the space marines in W40k (another shape, but the same funcionality).

Critique and comments are welcome

Max Beautiful design..

I like it.

Just a suggestion. The blue light on the canopy coming from the two points on ailerons.. Well, they don't seem to be a good idea, they'll prejudice the pilots visibility. Isn't it ?

Thanks
Well, I haven't thought about that (I'll be a terrible engineer ^^). The lights are supposed to be turbines, so the transport can maneuver like the old harrier. I put the ones on the canopy so the thrust is distributed equaly. I think I'll move them to the bottom of the fighter, behind the cockpit.

I'm still not shure what to do with the top of the fighter (especially the turbine). Anyone got some suggestions?

Hold on, you called it a fighter twice in a row. It is definitely a transport, isn't it? To be honest, it does have more of an interceptor type vibe to it than a freighter, but then if it's atmospheric then it can hardly be bulky and box shaped as they often are in scifi.

What to do with the top... well you could add some stuff like running lights, signage and flaps on the wings just to give it a slightly real world feel.

My mistake, it's definately a transport. But the cargo will be attached to the bottom of it.

I'll try adding some real elements from today's fighters. I'll post some more pics when I'm done.

Maybe you can use a retractile shield large enough to block the light when your vertical thrusters are on ? Is just an idea.

probably be easier to just move the cockpit forward 3m, so that the turbines are behind what appears to be the intakes right behined the cockpit.

Thanks for all the comments and the critique
Took some time, but I've moved the cokpit a bit, the lights shouldn't be distracting to the pilots any more (the cokpit will be seated by 2 pilots, like in today's fighters.

I've also added some flaps to the transport. Next I'll add some to the front wings.
