Just my personal taste. In portuguese it sounds very hummmm... unconventional. Anyway, it's a Tan.j decision. If he named her as Skinfaxi, not a problem. Just sounds good for his taste.
Back on topic, it's a beautifull batllestar.

It sounds unconventional also in Japan, and very exotic to me.

Sweet, but I would recommend that the round thingy at the bridge section (maybe the bridge itself??) retracts a bit into the hull, when the armour is off.

Add ribbing, since Galactica looks like that w/o armor.

Thanks Aresius and fongsaunder.

That's a test image rendered about two weeks ago.
Ribbing is one part of the shell structure by this design, and bridge(? firstly I guessed it was a sensor dome...) height was fixed from height of tentative ribbing shown in the image

Hm, it was just a guessing, what the round thingy is.

Anyway, the ribs here are too intense and have too much space between them. Looks on the wallpaper below, the ribs on the Galactica are twice thin packed as you have them.

sorry that you felt so, XRaiderV1.7.
I felt that Foundation3D.com is a better place to discuss about general modeling issues and designes, while SciFi-Meshes.com is better to discuss about model designs and structures from the viewpoint, such as, of engineering aspects with sci-fi mind.
I need the both, so I've updated two threads in parallel and going to do so.
