Lewis and Clark(Star Trek)

Here's one of my favorite ships from the book: Star Trek Spaceflight Chronology.

It's the ship that Captain Christopher's son commanded on the first manned mission to Saturn.

I like this design because it almost has a lineage to the DY-100 class sleeper ship. It also gave me a good chance to try out my greeblie skills. I think it's turning out alright.

EDIT: I moved these first images to another post so i could have this as my preview image.

Captain Christopher from the TOS episode 'Tomorrow is Yesterday'. They went back in time and picked up the fighter pilot. The fighter pilot was Captain John Christopher. His, yet to be born, son Colonel Shaun Geoffrey Christopher.

From Memory Alpha:

Colonel Shaun Geoffrey Christopher was the son of US Air Force Captain John Christopher. Colonel Christopher was the commander of the first successful Earth-Saturn probe, a manned mission to Saturn, in the late 20th or early 21st century.

Here's another update. I've been working on the forward sensors. That big antenna thing comming out of the command module will go somewhere else but that was the most convenient place to build it.

Always liked this design as one of the more realistic looking ships in the chronology.

Nice to see you having a go at it - looking good.

Thanks for all your comments. I've been working on detailing the command module. I've also been workingon the main structure that is underneath the pods. Here's some images to see the updates.

Sweet model. The plating is the same on all modules but it doesn't even look like that Can't wait to see the final build
