Hmm doesn't quite look so crappy as I recall

Loops pretty spiffing, except obviously some windows would now have rubbish views

Visit my Endless Pluto Station project, I'm still working on it, honest!

Cheers guys Yeah those windows aft on the forward superstructure now get to look at... a big wall! (well, bulkhead )

Definitely making progress with this now Not much left on the Big Lump... will just be the tail fins to do then before texturing begins

cardi's clothes

Don't worry so much about that lump looking bad...

Look at the usual cardi's uniform from ds9 and then look back at their uniforms from tng. There is some kind of resemblence in their uniforms and their ships not just their comm badges. Kinda looks like some kind of revered animal shape or something from waaaay back in their history has heavily influenced their society.

I still don't understand the position of the warp drives though and how they could function and not kill anyone near them with some sci fi radiation or whatever it was supposed to be which kept all starfleet vessels from moving their warp engines too close to the saucer section.

I think the design of ds9 does fit with the cardi ships because look at the size of a cardi ship compared to the amount of empty space inbetween the upper and lower docking pylons of ds9. You could probably get three ships in there instead of just one galaxy class... darn bragga always goofed up the scale of stuff so we will never know for sure lol.

OK, the Big Lump is completed... I have now started on the tail fins which will be pretty quick to do Unbelievably they contain a total of 12 grills. This ship is a flying fridge. They might as well have not bothered having a hull because it's not going to be much warmer inside than outside

Haha, maybe they are for deflecting fanbois? Or something more practical like phaser blasts?

Looks cool, though it's surprising that upper section doesn't have panel lines, the same as the rest.

Sweet!

Great work, as for windows that look out onto walls, I have been in plenty of hotels like that.

hehe yeah.. pretty grim

As for the lack of panel lines... well, they're not panel lines anyway, they'd be shield grids - if they were panel lines then they use some fecking massive panels There was nothing in the ref photos that suggested that there were engraved lines on the air conditioning unit, so I left them off. I'm happy with it like that to be honest, so it shall remain that way. Same goes for the tail fins.
