Cheers guys Yeah the paint is getting ready to start going on a little later Going to start with the window boxes and then on to some more normal texture painting.

Thanks chaps.

Right, all the window boxes are in place now, so I thought I'd run off a couple of quick lighting test shots... first one of each pair is straight out of the renderer, second one is with the lights kicked up a bit. Just playing around to see what works best

I think the first set are more realistic, but the second set is closer to the lighting on the show.

Go with the first.

Might want to look at making those windows a tad bluer, as they seem to tend towards a cooler shift in most pictures I've seen (not taking into account the blatantly wrong colours of the ERTL box art and the publicity stills.)

It seems to vary a bit... most of the screencaps I've seen show them with a bit of a yellow tinge, though I have seen them with a slightly blue tint as well.. the publicity shots invariably show them blue, but those can be completely ignored seeing as they get other features wrong anyway I shall most likely tweak the colour a bit later... blue might work better for all I know, but I think for now I shall just plug on with the textures

Indeed, I think the blue in the publicity pictures is someone getting a bit over enthusiastic with the old colour replacement tools- they've also got that deflector/weapon/window/greenhouse thing blue, and that is most definitely not blue in any of the episodes.
