OK, slight pause on this last week as I was in Paris for a few days... slacked off the first part of the week but I've managed to make some decent progress on all this over the last couple of days So these orange gradients are looking much more complete - on the base hull at any rate. Still quite a few to go yet and I haven't started on the Keldon bits either...

Well it needs some dirt or something, but it's looking good, it has a very hand painted look to it - cool!

Visit my Endless Pluto Station project, I'm still working on it, honest!

While cleaning out some of the boxes still left over from moving in, I found my physical Galor class model.

Now I dont know if they included little bits of detail that werent on the original, but if not, you've missed a few little bits and peices, nothing major, or hard to add in, should you wish too.

Of course the biggest thing I notice now, looking at the "real" thing, is just where the wing joins the hull, on that panel you have a diagnal line where there is none on the real model.

Take the ERTL model and throw it in the bin It looks nice but is not accurate. I've been working from photos of the actual studio model and compared to that this is pretty close. ERTL added bits and neglected other bits so its not a good thing to compare with

Starship Modeler: Star Trek: Deep Space 9 Starship Reference compare with the studio model... if I am understanding what you mean by diagonal line, that's only present in the texturing and not a physically scored line, just like on the original.

I don't know about binning it, but if the tail wasn't missing I would be considering ebay.

That's where most of my other trek models went.

hehe I only meant figuratively (I stuffed all mine up in the attic ) I used it to help out with areas I couldn't make out properly from the studio model photos but aside from that I ignored it completely.

I used to have star wars figures in the attic, but the mice nicked the blasters, I think they were re-enacting scenes in the walls.

What, the blasters, or the mice?

Gosh! Long time since an update - but I have not been slacking... just working slower than I wanted I have now finished the orangey gradienty stuff The map on the top of the big keldon lump was a bit epic to do Still a fair bit to do, but it should be quite a lot quicker to do than that which has gone before! Woo!

OOH looks really nice! Not sure if it needs a little more unification globally, but it's looking pretty damn cool so far! So what's left to do?
