I can see where you're coming from about the Cardassian design stuff; there aren't many immediate similarities between the station and one of these ships. It does tie in with what we've seen of Cardassian art, design and architecture in other ways, though - like the symbol, as toby says

OK, been fiddling with the tail piece... the central vent/grill thing is much too fine and doesn't work well so I'll rebuild that. Also it seems that a couple of the other panels on there are meant to be ribbed in the same way (didn't stand out too well in the refs I have) so I'll rebuild those at the same time. I think I'll concentrate on getting each bit completed as I get to it now that the big stuff is all in place. The greebling in the trenches will be done a bit at a time though, otherwise I'll probably go mad

Super stuff, even if the original is a bit crappy in places

IS that a tiny bit of smoothing error or weird shadow on the very end of the tail, where the light-things are?

Visit my Endless Pluto Station project, I'm still working on it, honest!

No, just slightly weird shadows I think... can't see any errors on the model anyway.

As for armament... well it seems to be generally those illuminated pyramid things dotted around the ship... we shall have to see

Yeah... I'm not too sure what I'm going to do with that yet... there'll be something inside them most likely, but given that they are fairly well illuminated there's not a lot of point doing anything very detailed. But we shall see at the time I won't be doing those until a bit later probably.

OK, finished up the tail today. I added in a torpedo launcher in that rear facing bit at the bottom of the cutout - I'm not sure if it was intended to be one or not, but I couldn't see that part clearly in any ref shots, and it seems to make sense to me, so there it is All the other greeblies in there are pretty much exactly as they are on the studio model.

The rest of the hull is looking a bit bland now, so I shall dart around adding some of the larger raised panels in later on I think
