I thought before I add more detailing, I would try to create the main texturing.

Then when I am ready to apply it, it will be already made...thinking ahead here.

Now, I think I got the body texturing perfect, try to create a metallic reflective material...but I think the engine color is all wrong, little help here...hehe

Integrated??

Hmm..
I did a lil mock up version for visual aid to my next question.
Have you guys considered making the cockpit more integrated into the ship?
The one you have now seems kinda pushed in a lil.

it is funny, but the cockpit canopy I have now, was actually a mistake...I detached the canopy and resized, when I did that it created a indent look. So that canopy indenting look was really a goof on my part. But !...
but like my boss said, it works

Thank god..hehe...and hay, i will be having a update soon.

A small update...

also have an idea on the engines, that I posted a whil ago but I guess it never posted....so here it is again.

For the engines, it is good idea to give the jets, (since they can travel in space and air) Four different type of engines.

such as the Traditional Jet engines, Aerospike Engines, Sub-Light engines and the Hyper I-On Drive. I got this idea of the multi engine from the X-302 from Stargate, since that fighter can also travel from space to air.

Haven't looked in for a while,

okay, not sure about the engines.
I think that having the brown section of the engines be that big, means that the grey of the ship ends too square with the end of the wings - this makes the ship look a little too truncated IMHO.

I think the grey should extend back along at least half of the engine pod, with the final section being the brownish colour. This would give the ship something of a 'tail' and balance the plane better.

Otherwise good stuff.

cheers,
