I created this Fighter in max 5, and today when I opened it to work on it, my file created an error so every time I opened the file a error would start and the program would shutdown. So thats why i am SOOOOO glad that max 7 is still on my computer....wow..I thought I lost max 7 months ago. Now, I after transferring the file to max 7 and made a few adjustments I rendered the fighter again, and I looked at the texturing. To be honest i am not that good at detailing a fighter...after looking at the hull over and over, to me it still missing something in the texturing. So the great modelers out there, how can I make the hull of this fighter better to great? |

Detail wise, have you seen the countermeasures launcher that extends from ends of the booms on the hybrid ocean fighter by @S.W.Ninja? Something similar, and/or a towed decoy deploying from one or both tail booms would be perfect. I dunno, black space-shuttle type heat resistant coating on front edges of wings and nose? Do a google-search for the weathered appearence of the space-shuttle when it lands? I'd like to see a panel running parallel to the leading edge, like a leading edge flap, rather than have panels join right up to the front edge of the wing. Also, just to be fussy, the shuttle re-enters sightly nose-high (angleof attack) so ange the direction ofthe weathering to run sligtly upwards away from joins and edges, like it is flying slightly belly forward, as most weathering would probably happen during planet-fall. As always, don't beat yourself up, you're doing just fine! cheers, |
