If this fighter is also meant to operate in atmosphere then it would have relatively clean lines. So apart from a few comms aerials, maybe a few tiny optical self defence sensors & ECM emitters, I think that too much detail would potentially kill the model -sometimes less is more.

I thought I would skip ahead and give it a try to add some hull markings and coloring.

I might be starting to add the extras, like the flare ports, flaps, running lights etc...maybe tonight or tomorrow....

The flaps will be for planetary landing, and thrusters RCS for space flight. She will also have extending ports for flare ejections. And of course running lights. i will be doing the inside of the cockpit last. Enjoy the updates.

And kborak, no worries man, I work so much i don't always have time for the 3d work. Chat laters bro.

That looks pretty good, but I feel there needs to be some contrast between the colour of the canopy frame, and the colour of the 'anti-glare' coating on the deck around the canopy - this would not be tactical consideration, purely an artistic one, especially after all the trouble you went through working on the canopy, to have it not stand out over the markings would be a shame.

Absolutely amazing star, monkey is right maybe a little more contrast round the canopy but otherwise you are gong to have to email me a copy of your texture if its ok so I can see how you are putting it together.

Actually, thinking about it....it should be fine as it is, because the internal cockpit detail - if it turns out to be an illuminated interier, will take care of providing the contrast. Nahh, scap my previous post! Leave it how it is.

cheers,
