ok, after thinking it over, a million time's, I finally came up with a perfect Manuering Jet...now I still have to add more thrusters, this is only a start.

The reason I made them this size, is because after Babylon 5 allot, I noticed there Star Furies have large Manuering Jets for max Turns and Braking, so I thought I would do the same...

Will be posting more later...

Big jets are good. Big jets close to the central axis ... not so much.
I'd keep the size (they look good) but they have to move out from the center fuselage.

It's not just about the thrust the jets can produce, but the leverage they can exert. Assuming two fighters with jets of equal power, the one with them out on the wing is going to be radically more maneuverable.

Just a function over form argument, tho.

good work, looks very nice

although Sanderlee is right that further to the edges would be better physically, I just don't see where your would put them further from the center, they'd look out of place and ugly on the edges of the wings. Also they aren't that close to the centre axis, much less so than for example thrusters on BSG vipers. Maybe add 2 more at the back/bottom to allow VTOL on planets.

Well, I did not want to admit it...but after what you yall said about the placement of the Maneuvering Jets...and after I looked at the Fighter even looking at some sci-fi star fighters...I finally decided that I was wrong.

So I relocated the Maneuvering Jets...to the proper locations.

I also added a side view with green cones at the Ventral area; they represent the firing pattern of the jets for a VTOL. The pattern is a same for the remaining jets.

I will be putting side and forward jets soon.

Nice! Very nice indeed.

The good news is that if you end up not liking the attitude jets out on the wings, you can always move them. While a "real world physics" argument has its place (and I like making them) ... this is ART after all! You can always go with the "but it's cooler THIS way" argument.

Keep up the work - I've been following this one for a while now.
