Hmmm those are rather tiny and don't even cut all the way to the trailing edge of your wing... I'd definitely make them larger.
Also, on current day fighters, not all moving surfaces on a wing are for 'control', the ones close to the main body are just flaps, only used for air braking. only the ones near the end of the wing are actual control ailerons. The reason being that they make a craft roll using a leverage effect, and the closer the 'lever' is to the turning axis the more useless or difficult it becomes. So they put the 'brakes' close to the body and the ailerons close to the wing tip. Nowadays, a lot of extra maneuverability comes from vector trust engines anyway.

Ok now time for the flight school flunky to interjct. Flaps are not for braking, as a matter of fact aircraft as a rule dont brake in flight. They merely decrease airspeed. Flaps are used to increase the wings lifting capability ans are only used a low are speed such as take off and landing.

You tell 'em tiger!
Flaps change the shape of the wing, temporarily giving greater wing camber, so there is greater air deflection, greater lift, so landing speeds can be lower, and also so that the nose does not need to be so high to produce the same amount of lift at slower speeds - also handy for landing. They are not used for breaking - they actually have fairly strict speed limits you must have already slowed to before you can begin to extend them. And jet pilots get very busy on take off, rushing through their wheels-up checklists to ensure the flaps are raised before these airspeed limits are exceeded. They can be quite fragile.
Civilian planes commonly use over-wing spoilers, while military jets usually have air-brakes, on the top or bottom of the fuselage.

@ monkey those flaps that everyone calls air brakes have a specific name but for the life of me cant pull it out of my head at the moment. Too long since my days in the navy lol. Im starting to feel old....uh oh starting ro ramble now.

Ahem, well the term 'braking' was used a bit too loosely on my part then. I did know that flaps are used for being able to reduce airspeed without losing lift but in a sense that seems like 'braking' to me.

I hope you don't mind my occasional raving and ranting too much. It's just that it's those little details and structural plausibility on a model that turn a good build into a 'wow' build. I'm really liking this model and it'd be a shame to see it not reach it's full potential.

well I agree with you whole heartedly on the aelerons needing to be brought all the way through to the trailing edge. I havent had the chance to ask him what his goals where with that design yet.

But I am sorry if I came across overly cocky, I just reread that and wow it coulc be taken very cocky by me. So sorry if you took it that way meph.

I think the term might be spoilers.

WOW...so much to learn...so much to do...but do thank you yall for your comments....I am planing to add control flaps to the rear wings...But this jet will also have control jets that can be used for air and space light for greater flight control.

But to be honest, I am not that much of an expert when it comes to air flight and tech stuff behind it. So more helps from others will be great.
