Thanks for the positive push forward. Like I said, a way to go, but I'm happy with the start. More to come... thanks again!

Between the corrected panel lines and weathering... WOW! Very nice job.

My guide entry used to just say "Clueless."
Now it says, "Mostly Clueless."

Thanks! A quick update. I've not taken the time I should in the evenings to finish this off, after the day job, getting dinner, working out, I'm little whacked. I should haev her done by this weekend, then it's time for the variations to start. Thanks to all for the crits and kind words, you've definitely helped me get her this far.

Some of the elements are in their centered location, so it looks a bit wonky. That's the canopy and landing gear doors that are sitting in odd places right now.

Also, the stripes are separate geometry and I'll be able to add info, streaks, alpha for wear etc. to them. I'll be handling them last I think. Kind of the icing on this bird.

No major update, but wanted to say thanks to both of you. Should have new renders in a day or so, I've been working on it, just want to get a few more things squared away. Almost done.

hi,

Everything is in Photoshop, and they're all hand painted. (Don't think that that isn't a lot of fun... ...) Oh, also, these are all basic projection maps, no UV. So far everything is full color, I'll be going back to Index some and... probably will start to control some additional info using alphas as masks for procedurals (mostly solid colors, perhaps some others )or over other images. I want to get a bit more of the detail in the paint jobs that are on the studio models.

Thanks for asking and for looking, having the interest. That's cool (to me, anyway)

Best to all, and thanks to everyone.

Cool

I hope you don't get tired of hearing this...

Very nice work!
This is by far the most accurate 3D build-up of a TOS Viper I have seen to date. Very faithful in the details to the original studio Scale filming miniature in most respects.

You even got the details on the after-burner "cans" right
Keep up the good work,

M

Close to another update, the images are about 60% of original size. May take a bit to get them to show properly.
