First WIP post, old school Viper love

So, these are a bit undersized, originally rendered for a comp to show around a bit. This is all geometry save five maps in the cockpit. She starts to get surfaced this week after landing gear and maybe another tweak or two to her base geometry. Comes in at 128k polys. Clearly need to read up again on getting the images to show as I want them to... :-\

You'll need to change those to a image format that's more mainstream than those types. GIF, JPEG, PNG, etc

Looks good, you have a few features most people dont model, like the details on the outside of the engine exhausts.

yeah not everyone has Photoshop and/or wants to download and open them in Photoshop
I recommend PNG or JPG

More mainstream than PSDs? :-)

I'll re-convert them, but they were saved as Indexed PSDs to keep the file size down. Will make a switch.

Thanks.

People could always use GIMP. It's free!

Looks very good mate. my only "negative" comment would be that your panel grooves are about 3 to 4 time to wide.

When you love a pet, loosing it is like loosing a part of your soul. I lost part of mine on Feb 12 2008. Never will it be the same again.

Hi
Thanks for the crit. The grooves have bugged me a bit for a while. I've based this on the filming miniature, which is a bit heavy there. Also, the surface for the grooves is a lot darker than the fuselage, wings, etc. I'm hoping that a lighter surface , which they'll have soon, will change how heavy they appear to be. I don't want them to disappear entirely, but yeah, they've always felt heavy. Thanks again. :-)

This is just with the inset panel surface lighter... going to chew on it for a bit. Edited to add the 'after' image... some things disappear because of how I had to reduce the seam size, mostly the edge bevels on the panels are really reduced.
