hey, cool looking. Has the best aspects of the TOS and TMP versions, I think. What's with the bussards? not that I dislike them, but I'm interested to know if the black-overlay-fanblade things are anything in particular (other than "cool-looking")

Some sort of magnetic collectors? dunno, some sort of way to drag in the rarified matter (namely hydrogen) I wanted to do something diffrent than the flat blade spinner things in TOS. And that trailer did influence these. Originaly I was going to use the ones seen on the Lethe or do something totaly diffrent. That area is still in the works since anything from those dark bits back is all temp polygons. IE that red glow crap and the mesh behind that (cannot really see the pos I just never deleted it heh) As well I was just sick of the cloudy glow crap on a dome/flat polygon grill type bussards. ;p

Great looking ship! I'd like to see more of it. Different angles maybe.

OK someone will want to roast me for this. BUT I will be having these hatches on BOTH sides of the saucer.
And yeah it is a bit of a sucky update. just not been in the mood lately.

Take a look at the other images a few pages back or those other urls in the OP. Should provide plenty of other angles.

Just seeing the saucer section by itself, looks a little like a new version of a constellation class.

But awesome work none the less

Cool addition with the saucer docking hatches - gives it a nice link with the NX and TMP Enterprise, which had the same.

The beginings of the plating on the nacels. It will be beveled and the groove will be a dark material but not black ATM it is a flat black and just stenciled on. Hopefuly they wont appear so obvious when I am done >_< Ignore the errors near the coil openings. Got some stuff to turn there.
And a close up of those forward 3 sensor thingies.
