The Nimitz Class aircraft carriers are the largest warships ever built. With over 6,000 personnel (crew and aircrew), the carrier has a displacement of 102,000t, and a flight deck length of 332.9m. All nine nuclear-powered Nimitz Class carriers have been built by Newport News Shipbuilding (now Northrop Grumman Ship Systems), based in Virginia.
Naval Technology - Nimitz Class - Nuclear Powered Aircraft Carriers - US Navy CVN

Granted the mecanical mass in a carrier would not take up as much room as it woul don a starship and volume mass is diffrent between them. It still cannot address the volume of personnel.
TOS era I see ships more utilitarian with a few amenities for dipolmatic purposes and crew sanity but I do not see plush walls and large private spaces as seen in TNG. The ship as it stood in TOS is large enough to house 400+ people. I think one ep even makes comment about a capacity for 3000 people for evac purposes. Personaly I would hope they keep it under 400meters. That size would provide plenty of room for known spaces inside the ship as well as a proper core room. My design with 1200feet(365m) Up from 289/305m. This allows for a expansive cargo hold and quite a bit of room for the warp components. I only have plans for a few crew quarters in the engeneering hull to avoid trafic jambs in the neck turbolifts. In the end the whole ships size is based off the saucer rim and the neck thickness. Everything else sort of just fell into place.

Taking a bit of a break from the ship for now to work on organics and other things. (but I might just return to this tonight out of frustration )

I'm with jpolk. Don't move the torp launchers! Years ago I had a dream about a sort of in-between TOS-TMP 1701 and one thing I remember about it is torp launchers on the secondary hull right where you've put yours MKF - it was kind of like "ahh, someone's finally put 'em there" when I first saw this beaut.

It's great to see some Trek XI styling cues on a canon sized 1701, instead of closer to 1701D sized as the scale of the trailer ship appears. It's funny that when Gabe K's version 1st hit the net, there was a scale drawing of it with the original 1701 suggesting it was about as much bigger than the TOS design as the trailer version appears to be, though I think that was quickly revised. This together with it's appearance in the SOTL calender (a relatively "official" publication) still makes me wonder if there wasn't some "testing of the water" going on there when you look at those pretty similar nacelle caps, despite claims I've heard from the Trek XI production design team that their design was more or less "locked in" before they saw Gabe's ship.

One more thing - every self-respecting 1701 needs it's own shuttlecraft MKF. (hint, hint )

Exclamation

No the torps are not moving, there is no room in the neck. You have 2 turbo lifts tubes trunklines and ractor lines going through there already. As well as the aft portion of the neck base houses the aft torp tube.
Weapons locations are FIXED at this time.

Here are those "rec room" or whatever room winders. No interior box yet so its all dark in there.

Talking

Saucer RCS hopefully Vektor doesnt mind the similaraties. :O
Just got lazy and couldnt come up with anything. I didnt want refit thrusters but didnt want the multiple cones of ENT era stuff. Materials Im still debating on making the inner part a diffrent colour than the hull material white? maybe that hazard refit yellow? Or one of the 3 blues I have on the ship? I could use that funky brown that is on the bridge module.

And yeah, I am not happy at how close the things are to those damned windows. I will most likely axe the one closest to them.
