shaping up really nice!

My only concern would be to get the plants dead on... that can usually be a real easy way to make a scene look too cg - if the plant life just doesn't look very good. I know it's real early on but just wanted to throw that out there....

I really like where this is going though!!

Looks great to me I didn't play Final Fantasy 8 so I can't make any comparisons but at least I'm sure that yours looks way , way better. The water and first foliage look really awesome - can't wait to see some more plants

Fitter, Happier And More Productive ...

Really nice... I'd only suggest removing the concave bit opposite the bridge thing, it looks like it might impede pedestrian circulation. But I've never seen the movie or game that it's from so I dunno.

Thanks. Well I haven't played FF8, but this is coming along nicely. I'm curious as well about how you tackle the rest of the vegetation. I've been going nuts trying to make myself some good looking trees for an architectural project, but it's difficult to get the level of randomness and complexity without using way too many polys. There are always plugins though.

i've tried to model balamb garden a few times but never quite got there with it. have you done the whole of the floor or just that section??

looks good so far though. just needs a few SEED walking around.
