Hey thanks very much guys, glad you like her eh. She is my all-time favorite ship, more on the level of a life-long love affair actually, so it is good to hear some fellow Trekkers are likin' my take on updating/industrializing her too.

Phase 4_Detailing_Impulse Engines

Busy with yard work today, but managed to tweak the impulse engines a bit, changing the mounts of the three orbs (just didn't like those last mounts) and enlarging the top most rail end details. This tweaking is updated in the last detail posts as well as in this mounted shot. Impulse engines are done now, on to the main hull/saucer...

Phase 7_Detailing_Main Hull

Modeled grid on top and bottom of saucer and added some detail to the impulse collector... (can't recall what the rail in front of the impulse engines is called...)

Thanks dude.

Phase 7_Detailing_Main Hull

Closer look at the impulse rig, and the addition of eight attitude thruster 3-packs to the top and bottom edges on the saucer...

What I like about what you're doing, deg, is that I look at your pix and my thought is not, "look what he's adding to the Big E!" but rather, "So that's what it really looks like closer up!" You're really keeping to the spirit of the old girl. Keep it up!

That's a pretty accurate assessment idea of what I'm striving for CrimsonLine.

Phase 7_Detailing_Main Hull

Saucer detailing continues. About all that is left to model is to update the whole command module area, the lower sensor array and the dish, and most probably some other odd-and-ends here and there that I'll decide on as I go, secondary hull phaser banks and retros for two...
