Project Cosmos - The Planets

I've started making 3D versions of the planets in my universe to help get things a bit more polished up for the book.

Here are a couple test renders of the Belkuri homeworld of New Haven. I've still got stuff to do, so stay tuned..

More to come!

There are cultures on this planet that are just plain not ready for advanced technologies like explosives and automatic guns

Nice.

Lots of Methane or Water in that atmosphere though.

Sometimes the worst opponent is the one closest, yet ignorant of the truth.

Looking very cool! Can you give us a little background on each of the planets as you post some images on them? Not sure what it is, but I always love seeing planet renders!

Yeah I noticed that too. I'll have to tune back the water vapor as it's making it difficult to see the land forms.

Aszazeroth- I'm using 8k maps for the land texture. The one shwn is about 50% done. I have to vary up the vegitation and ecosystems a bit. It's probably because of the water vapor but it's bit dificult to see the desert portions of the planet, and I want to be able to showcase a differ amount of environments. I also have t work on the oeans as right now it's literally just a solid blue hue and it's rather lame. lol

Wonderful planet. I can't wait to see more of them! And it almost looks like a realy image from space as well.
