Exclamation

Ok I said I would do something else but eh lol messing with materilas mostly now extruded up some lumps. I guess I should go in and repair those extrusions I made into the pit back when I started modeling this heh. As well Im begining to hate the lifeboat recess. The rounded hull bit is a bit meh, so I think Ill remove some edges in there and reset some smoothing groups so its got a more faceted look. That or Ill get lazy and not do squat to em

I think Ill move on the the underneck for a few for a change of pace.

Well, you have the header, so we know it's brilliant (and it is). What kind of poly count are you reaching with this thing?

Things like the nacels and a few other parts are not fully optimised. But the ships been hovering around this mark for the last few weeks. As I clean up I add more in so its ballancing out to this. In the end itll definetly be a "bounding box" ship for the viewports. XD I cannot imagine what itll be like when I add the maps to it, I might cheat on that though where I can. You wont be seeing any multi megapixel maps with detailed grime or scratches. lol

The update, more boxy things vents latches and some silly spool looking thingies. Still trying to keep the greebles trekish looking without going for the mess of boxes and wires look. IE functional detail, I hope. If you look carefully most of the details are modules that can be pulled and refitted with diffrent parts. Seems sorta trek to me. Good plot hole too, sorta like big isoleniar chips. Just some numptie engenering officer wont have the chance to play dominos with em.
Not much of a update got distracted with some weather related issues and a movie, a rare occurence in this house. . . . .

Looking great MKF, with the way you’re going, I have feeling that this will be more detailed than any model built for Star Trek.

I think MKF qualifies for the president, chairman, and CEO of the Insane Detail Club....

Not much of a update AGAIN. . mess of plates and a round thingy with glowy bits under. It needs glowy bits. I really need to look at managing some way to unify the detail work outside of the pit between it and the bridge module. I think one of the white hatches need to gono matter what I do.

*jealous*

What kind of a rig are you modelling this on?

Also are you going to add textures at some point? (even though you are close to not needing them )
