I really like it. I agree about the red and another thing, if you want to make it look less CGI and more realistic, you might consider replacing the black windows with the interior cockpit (but that will be a lot of detail work) other than that, I really think you did a great job.

Nice job on this model.

My only other crit, besides what was mentioned already, is that a lot of the texturing on the smaller parts doesn't match the texturing on the surrounding areas. So it looks like they were all textured separately and then stuck on. It would definitely take of some of that CG look to the ship if the textures were unified a bit.

This looks like it is based on the YT-2000, though the YT-2000 as seen in Xwing Alliance (The Otana) has a slightly longer neck and "fangs" and a narrower body. It also lacks the dual dishes on the rear

Here it is in action
X-Wing Alliance Intro

Still nice design, its obvious that it shares many of the shapes of both the Falcon and the YT-2000 and fits in very well with Coreallian design Its always been my favoite variation on the falcon

I did an Otana Model for Blender years ago,
(i WILL get around to re realising it, once i've re-done it lol)

I thought that's what was being designed in this thread, i was away to say that if it is a YT-2000 the ship needs to be a little bit slimmer and a little bit longer in length, its a smaller ship compaired to a YT-1300

I'd speculate that the design of this ship follows more closley to what the falcon looks like, except for the fact the cockpit is in the middle, that it could be a 1200 or a 1500?

just throwing it out there

I like this model. But I think the texturing takes away part of the quality…

Try using lighter colors on the hull, and using less or none specular. Let's see what happens

That thing is Awesome dude! I play the table top west end games and I'd always wanted to make my own ship in 3D until recently I have not had the skills to do so. This ship is very detailed and it looks like you could walk right in and fly it.

Captain's Corhort is his name, fetching earlgrey is his game! Relic WIP
