YT-1900 for a "Fan Film" project

Greetings,
This is my first post here. I have been working on this little bugger for a couple of weeks and finally got it textured. It is a YT-1900 Correlian Frieghter for a fan film called "Exodus of the Jedi". The writer/director was looking for a variant of the Falcon, so here it is. I made liberal use of the greeble packs here so, thanks. Hope you dig it. Darth Ziggy

Well I'm sure everyone here will agree with me when I say, that it can definitely pass for something Correlian. Good job Darth Ziggy, really good. .

Indeed the model and textures look great ! It's obvious you put some dedication into it. Mind if I ask how many polygons does your model have ?

The reds look a little intense to me, but I guess they may work with a better lighting rig in the actual movie/animation. Nice work

Iīm with spudmonkey: the red is a little more intense than needed. Tune it down a bit.
About the ship, yes, it passes as a Corellian. Well done.

Truly nice work. Lovely detail and texturing.
It reminded me of SW KOTOR and the "Millennium Falcon"-like ship.
Though i agree with guys about the red "overcharge" =)
Next, i don't know why, but this one just screams at me - I AM C-G-I! Maybe its because of lightning. Floating somewhere in space or on planetary orbit would make it look less cgi ;-)
And finally - thing i like most about falcon is it's partial asymmetry. I'd love to see this one less symmetric. But it's just IMO.

Yep, and please, could you post some "sketches"?

Okay - I'm on the 'red' bandwagon, the red is a little bright for my taste as well. But with that said - very nice job really like what you did.

That which does not kill me only postpones the inevitable!

I think its the mix of all the colors that just dont go together.

maybe the details dont go together as well. looks a big patchwork of various other thingies

my feeling is that this ship could have been built in a favela

Yeah, the red does pop a bit. The dishes had the wrong Mat I.D. on them when I rendered. I'm going to dull it down a little. In motion and with severe lighting of space, It looks pretty plausible.

This is a "poly-pig". It was over 800,000 polys. I optimized all the little bits, but it didn't help that much.
