With the nacelle arms sloping that sharply, this would be a good candidate for quad nacelles, don't you think?

cheers.
Voyager was supposed to be thousands of tons, yet it flew around alright in atmospheres.

Quad nacelles? I think the Prometheus was the only ship that did it well, but I'll give it a try.

Ha ha, I am torn!
On one hand I like it a lot, but on the other, I have to admit that it looks a little too 'busy' at the back end with four nacelles. What to do, what to do?

cheers.

I vote it keeps just 2 nacelles!

All I want is a tall ship and a star to steer her by...:)

Thanks for the complements. I haven't been working on this lately mainly due to lack of inspiration for some of the details at the back. I may try to do more soon.

Nice work on the Majestic Class Federation starship, If I was you I would stick with the Four Warp Nacelle configuration. One it looks better and two it makes it look more like a Tactical/Battlecruiser plus it looks more menacing.

Keep up the good work!

i wouldn't stick to a four nacelle version because it would be stupid and piss off the creators. it was always intended to have a single pair of nacelles.

keep working on it cptkirk, its getting there

Two nacelles are a fine look. But not if a enemy ships fire power cuts off one. For standard ships it keeps a ship up to full power if we kept two online, two offline. How many times have we seen a starship stopped to fix a over used engine part. With four engines we just switch to the offline engine or engines and allow repair with no lose in power. In battle all four would double phasers, shields, etc. Would you really want to be out in the deep dark thing we call space without backup power. Let's get by old thinking gentlemen. blueboy.

I think the 4 nacelles are a great idea. I like 4 nacelled ships, and think the configuration is somewhat under used. It makes sense to field ships with multiple pairs of engines, and on a ship this size I think the arrangement is particularly plausible. Can't wait to see this one progress.
