Majestic-class

Modeled with permission from Galen, I present the Majestic! It's not perfect, but it's the best starship I've ever made (you don't want to see my first one). I still need to detail the underside of the saucer section and add some more details the the back of the engineering hull. There's also some problems that I can't fix, such as skew windows and holes in the hull which I can't locate. But it's the best I could do.
p.s: does anyone know where the impulse engines are?

This is a cool design. This is a nice start for the 3D model.

All I want is a tall ship and a star to steer her by...:)

Nice start! Um the impulse drive is located below the shuttlebay, in another sunk in terrance. Its a single unit, similar to the Nova Class. Oh also, there is no deflector dish on the saucer. The patch is suppose to be an armor plate, beneath the plate are a cluster of sensor pallets similar to Voyagers.

I thought that's where the engine would be. I've modeled the underside of the saucer, mostly just escape pods, lots of them! There didn't seem to be enough for the whole crew on the rest of the ship so I put lots the the saucer.

the only crit I would have is the deflector dish colors, something just doesn't look right to me.

Its the recess the dish is located in - it somehow seems to make the ship look like it is smiling at you, like Thomas the tank engine!

Are these warp engines moveable? Otherwise, I would assume this ship would never make planet-fall? Or are the nacelles strengthened to act as landing pads?

What's wrong with a smiling ship? No, I doubt a ship this large could land.

A smiling ship, is a happy ship, is a healthy ship. Why not rename her the USS Patch Adams?

I don't think size counts for that much in the ST universe, wouldn't be surprised if they could get a soverign down on a planet if they made a few modifications. Not that I think they should!

With the nacelle arms sloping that sharply, this would be a good candidate for quad nacelles, don't you think?

cheers.
