first test: i've used a brown color and i've dropped the bump map from grey material: it's don't like to me. now i restore the bump map and i used a lower value. Later i'll try to use a little darker grey.

U most have some monitor issie. your ship is still blue and orange. The real one is metalic and very dark red-brown. the reason your bump map don't look good is that they are to small. the join between the plates is WAY to big.

i saw (light) grey in the main hull. Probably you define that colour blue; it might be the lights.

second test. I used again bump map, and i used a lower bump value.

just a small test as to what the anciant ship should look like density and color wise. it's not perfect cause it's hard to play with orange and blue..but you'll get the idea i think

Yeah but he's like, the guy, so I would assume he used the original material to recreate this?
