I agree some good ol contrast can do this wonders...mabye even some post speclar work...like the example below just a few tweeks in photoshop I think if you worked with it in photoshop you could get it to look perfect.

very strange, because in the gray textures there isn't blue!

Thank you for the suggestions: I've just played with contrast and brightness in photoshop; now i'm doing a test render.

im going to go look for an pic i have that has the real texture colours on it

Im working with an home built with an Intel E8400 3.0 Ghz at 1,333 FSB, one EVGA 8800 GT 512 mb of GDDR3 memory 3 GB of DDR2-800 RAM i am using C4d R10

the right pic (Raffs version i think) is too red. The left pic i think it is the studio model. It's not easy to do that brown/red color.
