BattleTech: Black Knight

Another model from BattleTech universe. I originally tried to build the BK nearly 10 years ago. Since I'm planning on creating a scene based on the Word of Blake Jihad, I decided to build some faction specific designs. I've already created the Seraph and recently finished a Toyama. I originally planned on making a model for the Purifier powered armor, but it's just too ugly!

Also since I have a Black Knight, I figured it was time to rebuild it. Plus I'm going to texture it the same way I did the Seraph and Toyama models.

I know I have an unfinished Decker model. I just didn't like how it was turning out. Oh well. Maybe some other time.

Moved on to the torso. I think I'll stop for the night.

Nice to see another mech modeller onboard! By the way, I really dig on that Seraph. Yours looks so much better than the minis/pictures I have seen of the WOB mechs. The Toyama looks very nice too.

One thing I have to say, I like what MW4:BK did with the Black knight. The shoulder shield does so much to keep it from looking like Boba Fett. (The TRO drawings, not so much the mech itself).

You do nice work!

Thanks for the replies! Here's some more progress shots.

Mach Crit: I have a shoulder shield planned. You aren't the first person to suggest it to me. ::grins:: I'm thinking Kite shield instead of the broad, flat panel like the Awesome or Mauler.

Skaro, where do I know you from? I only use Hana name on BT forums.

Berkut: MW4 BK doesn't seem like a BK to me. More like an Omnimech with a slight passing resemblance.

And some more progress. Rebuilt the shoulder shield (I was told it looked like half a vase bolted on). Made the hatchet, detailed the back and started on the lower half.
