hehe, don't worry, except the Varangian sword, they're all decorational and only lethal to paper (blunt at all, I may scare idiots with it, who don't know this ).

How about a small removable mini laser-knife built into the hilt like some Katanas have (blade only 2-3 inches long)? No, probably going too far there?

cheers.
That's the idea. The shortest one will probably not have the curved handle, it would probably be just the end section of this sab(er/re) but slightly modified and not have a large shaped bit by the emitter.

It *will* be a challange to show the different sword lenghs effectively, as the stand would not be built to hold the swords like japanese swords would be - you could not place them on a larger stand with the blades active!, so it has to be a smaller stand for just the hilts - I worry that this could look too tall and unbalanced, but I hope you out shine my feeble imagination in this!

Not Greivious? so you don't have three/four arms...but don't you have prehensile toes?

cheers.

About the stand. I think the pedestal would be more appropriate, with nice background, maybe something SW styled. This design deserves to be placed somewhere to look like a true relic. Wooden stand is, well... too Yoda-like

Better believe it! You get a finger cut off, and it hurts a bit, so what? But even Rambo would wince at the thought of a paper-cut in the webbing between his fingers.

@A.I.Ghost: What do you think would qualify as SW themed? polished metal? X-Wing white with red stripe? Star-destroyer grey? I'm not sure.
No IMHO, the hilt is Katana-like, so I would stick with a nice polished timber stand, or perhaps a Jade stand.

Cheers.

It certainly would look tall, due to the shaping on the emitter, I'd have to have a minimum spacing between them on the stand. Whether it looks wrong or not, we'll have to decide at a later date. Priorities regarding this model involve finishing it to a good standard (there are a few more details that could be worked on, I'm sure) and then trying to convert it to the two smaller versions.
