So when asked to make a lightsaber for a competition on another forum, I decided to do anything but a normal saber . A quick search for "futuristic swords" for inspiration helped at lot, hopefully I haven't gone too far and it still at least resembles a lightsaber. Here's progress so far, I'm mostly working on the rendering and the remaining fiddly details. |

To the real use as a sword: Giving the length of the handle i'd say it is two-hand saber, therefore it is unbalanced (tsuba is too big, you wont be able to twist around your body or slash). And the handle ending is not very "user-friendly". |

The closest we've seen would be Dooku's sabre, which just had it's emitter facing off-axis to the handle, but still had a straight blade. I would like to tell you how good your design looks, but I am unable to speak with a mouthful of drool! This is beautiful! The decorative guard looks a little difficult to hide under a cloak, but if I had a lightsabre *that* cool, I wouldn't hide it! Great job!

Again I love the design I don't give a rip about accuracy to the series but it looks a little clumsy.
