Ok I think this one is done.
I made some adjustments to the general shape, I added some weapons, details and a background to the render preview. Hope you like it and thanks for all the replies and suggestions so far.

On the aurora class ship they also have cannons mounted in front of the bridge and another thing as well is the Ori and Replicators (Atlantis enemy) have weapons based on Ancient technologies and both these entities have show beam weapons (Ori ships main weapon) (Replicators attack on the Atlantis) so the idea that they had only Drones is a little misplaced remember the Ancient warships so far have been recovered for use and were not fully operational.

I hope to see a episode where they operate a warship to its full strength

I guess you can say that

colbmista the ship has beam weapons also (there are 4 of them that you can see on the top of the ship) but they are a little smaller than the railguns so you probably missed them, anyway nevermind that, I'll see you guys with my next project

Alpha: Relax, I was just joking. But you have to admit the texture does look a lot like the ship received a severe scratching / beating.

SC: Are you gonna give her custom textures? At the moment she looks like a bleading stone (albeit a beautifully shaped one ).
