The 'arms' will serve as connecting tunnels through which ships can move.

Better scale it in such a fashion so a Galaxy class is able to move through each of those arms. :-)

I thought the arms were for personel to move, not ships.

They are way too large for personnel ... then again, they could be divided so crews could go there, however it would be a LONG walk.

I think Don't Shoot stated himself in one of the posts that the arms will be used for starships.

This looks amazing. already looks so different from the V1. As for the "long walk" perhaps they could have Captain Proton style rocket packs.....

Yeah with little open shuttles running in a tracked tubeway.

that would work. I have blueprints of the Earth spacedock and they say there is a tram that runs around the inside of the station, something like that could work.

If you check the images he posted, you clearly see the arms are just as wide as the space doors on the hull.
The only thing that is the question is if those doors can handle a Galaxy class ...
My bet would be yes, otherwise the name 'Immense' wouldn't be justified.
Also ... the arms could still be used for shuttles in an easy fashion.
They are practically microscopic in comparison to a starship, so I think there will be plenty of aspects to be envisioned for the interior.

Well, comparing the arms to the drydocks I'd say they'd be about big enough for two Danube class runabouts to fly side by side or pass each other, but I doubt even a Nova or Defiant will comfortably fit in there.

But anyway: Nice work on the remake so far!
