I don't know. I think adding two more drydocks will be overcrowding it... Don't forget the 4 platforms that will go on the top of the middle section. for now, I added some layering effect to the main hull (a typical method in Scifi films used to give the elusion of big objects....)

| SFM Obsessed | I love the way this is coming and I was the one to suggest the nemesis style drydock. Why not download the mesh here on SFM and see how it's made? |

One thing I'm sure of - I HATE MODELING DRYDOCKS!!! ![]() you have to be something of a wizard to make them fit all ships, they're overpacked with lights and they share a huge amount of pointless details ![]() But if that's what I gotta do then that's what's going to be done I've used the nemesis one here on the download section for measurements (cause I don't have any blueprints) and the rest I'll do using the nemesis video - don't like to refrence to others work, it's inpolite

Loving the refit/redesign Don't Shoot. Is a very cool station and, having downloaded and appreciated the original a few months back, this is shaping up to be an excellent all round imporvement on an already well thought out design. Referring to the original briefly there was only one aspect of it that I found a little strange - the platforms you had located at the top of the station, to me the way they were designed seemed more like landing pad structures more suited to be within an atmosphere as opposed to an exposed to vacuum space station. Will they also be benefitting of a redesign in such that there will be a covering once a ship has docked to allow it to be encompassed by the appropriate life-support? Never-the-less, when all is said and done this is a kick ass piece of modelling and will be looking forward to downloading it if you release Immence v2 ![]() Tom

You're right, cause of the circular shape is it difficult. As you say anything like a domed surface would look kinda weird and 'Jetson' like. The thing that immediately comes to mind would be the way in which the runabouts are housed on DS9. It would be easier frankly if the platforms were rectangular but that would distrupt your whole design flow of this kick ass station. If I were to think about adapting it for a circular shape I would probably have it setup like a raised platform taking up the inside section which would then lower. After a ship has docked either a forcefield could be generated over the top or perhaps, due to the constraints of having to make it cover a circle, some sorta iris doors. The implementation of any kind of iris door would have to be in such a way as to not be too 'Star Gatey'. Hope that at least gives you an idea or two. ![]() Tom
