yay ive been waiting patiently...sorta realy cant think of forward and aft designs, but mabe with the back (asumeing its the big brick on the left of the screen of the 1st pic) have engine pylons on each side, 1 pylon per side with 2 engines on the pylon *same caseing* as for the front....realy cant think of anything, mabe some antenne or something? well that just 2 penny's so far. that structure looks sweet though!

My apolagise. I sometimes forget to include "important" information. Left to Right is Front to Back. The basic shape of the forward hull is complete (basically, the section you called a brick), but is a brick hollow?? :P. Seems more like a shell to me. Ok, the front isn't completely hollow, but sensors will be hanging down and out of the front of this thing. I will be widening the ship aswell because of things I want to do to the neck. I need to come up with something for the right side of the first picture. Where the engines, bridge, and other stuff will be placed.

I should get some rest... but I lost like 10 mins cuz I tried to play a frigging video. Comp is screwed up, tried reinstalling codecs and stuff, but no luck .

Ok, update on the armoured skyscraper. Taller now. I was gonna goto bed, but got working on this. Most of the greebles still need to be done, parts will be reworked. but the basic structure is pretty much done. I was originally thinking of having ships being able to dock with the structure. Hence why it doesn't look as tall as it is. When I get windows done, it should look bigger. The mirror texture is just a place holder. The texture for the building is also going to change. Reason: Cuz I don't like it.

that thing would look awsome with like a black granite like shell imo. fi you want to have ships docking with it, you can have a fiew docking bays inside the structure. then for the larger captial ships mabe something like a scafolding reaching out form it *inside the structure when not being used then move out when being used*

and remember, in space, bricks fly good

Ok, new wip in progress. I had this idea a couple nights ago. Started it yesterday, didn't have time to render anything. So now its about 10 hours later roughly, here are some renders.

Ok, I'm currently thinking that this ship will be an advanced military patrol ship. By advanced, I mean new power/engine system. I'm guessing ion propulsion or impulse or something, not my strong point technology or science. The cylinder is basically where the core is "stored", each end will be armoured and have some pretty thick doors. I'm thinking up an interresting animation for it. I'm also thinking of placing a couple of fixed weapons in the bow. I think its a spinal-mount cannon type thing. Weapon tech is still standard as per the rest of the fleet. So nothing new there :P.

Thats all I can think of to say about this ship atm. Also tired. I'm going to bed.

SEXY! make it a covert ops transoprt boat, the size of a frigate but way faster, cloaking device, EMP charges *to get through sheilds and to scramble all electronics* and heavy "docking clamps" that holds it to the enemy ship so force recon marines can bitch slap the ship from the inside and take it as a trophy

Ok, some updates for y'all. Added some turrets, working on the bridge area. And also tried to come up with a door type thing for the ships core. In case the core needs to be ejected or something . I hate it. So It'll be redone at some point. Also the bow cannons have been placed aswell... they're too small for my liking. So that area may get scraped.

Well, ok now, heres another small update. I was more interrested in watching tv for the past, err, 6 hrs or so (+ a dvd). So I haven't done as much work on this as I should have.

Anyway, first two images. I wasn't happy with the bow of the ship, so I came up with another version, first image was done yesterday. the other two, more recently. I'm happier with the new front for this ship, but not completely. I liked the bits by the weapon nozzles on the first attempt, but the nozzles were too small imo. These ones are much better. Just imagine two large beams of light firing from them.

In the third image, is an idea for a point defense gattling gun turret . Oh, and I've started to add greebles to the "trench" bit. Sort of...
