Yup if I ever get to build skyscrapers or something similar, you can expect that it will look like something pulled out of Coruscant or other sci-fi city
Back on the models topic, the progress is extremely slow. Just 4 more days
I only launched max for roughly 20 minutes to change the rear of the ship and add some minute details to the nacelles

Good news everyone, I'm done with my school-leaving exams so when I came home I went back to doing the models Here's the finished NX Beta

I've included all of the changes I have seen in the screencaps but I will probably add something to the ship because it looks a bit too "bland". Now I'm working on Conestoga but during the development of it I will try to update my older ships too.
How do you like the ship ?

Looks great - what are the poly counts on these ships (well the one(s) completed so far)?

I only ask cause they would make excellent additions to anyone wanting to render interiors with these as decorations ala Ent-E conference room.

Thanks The poly counts are :
19 640 for the NX Beta
50 344 for the Warp Delta
62 860 for the Intrepid
I think that for a highly detailed room it may be a little too much if you want to have more than one of them. However, they certainly will look good on the foreground

Thank you very much. I'm glad you like it
It may not be yet another NX prototype but you may like this one too - the SS Conestoga :

It's still extremely rough and it's covered in standard material but it's getting into shape. As far as I know there are only 3 official renders of the ship so it will be trickier than the NX Beta but I assure you that it will look at least as good
What do you think about it so far ?

ive only seen one pic but the nose section seems to look a little to long on your ship compared to the pic ive seen?

Ah to tell you the truth I'm torn between graphics and architecture ... I will study the latter but in the end I would like to be doing cg graphics because I like that a little bit more and the only thing I care about is a pleasurable job and a decent income - I don't want to be a millionaire (on a side note I don't have chances to be one )
When it comes to the Conestoga's model ...

I guess you're right the sensor is too big. Thanks for pointing that out . I will correct it as soon as possible.
