Thanks As you can see I love the design too and I want to capture that unique look in my model as faithfully as possible. It may be hard to see in the renders but in actual 3d where you can rotate the model she looks even cooler
And before I go , last update as for today :

I started panelling the hull and added tons of details like the small sensors on the top of the "bridge", airlocks, "grills" in the intrusions ... and I deleted the nacelles because there is no point of them being there if they're just cylinders
How do you like her now ?

Looks fantastic! I have a question, is this the model we see in the opening sequence?

I love the conestoga design, and your model looks very good so far!
It's not the shipin the opening sequence, I think it made it never into the show.

Thanks everyone
And Elowan, just like Leon said this is not the ship from the opening sequence. It's from Enterprise : "Terra Nova". It actually got a few seconds of screen play but only on a monitor as a set of pictures. I was searching the internet for about 30 minutes to find the concept art for the ship from the opening sequence but I have totally no idea where have I seen it ... I remember that it was created exclusively for the opening and the directors had no intentions to use it in any episode.

Here's the Conestoga before one of the final "cuts" :

This is the latest version with nacelles finished in 90%, just like the rest of the ship.

I could cut the windows right away but that way I would mess up my model - I have to copy the parts of the hull I'll be cutting the windows in, boolean the models, and then reattach them to the old hull. I have to go to sleep now so I will do that tomorrow morning. Hopefully tomorrow everything will be done , including all of the sensors, pylons and bridge area. Thanks for the support everyone
BTW, Anyone have a special request for an "Ent" ship ? I will gladly make one, no matter which

Nice, I thought this should have been the Enterprise. Great job.

how about the Klingon Raptor from the Ent episode, "Sleeping Dogs" I liked that one.

I really love this design, its sort of how Id imagine our first serious looking starships to look in real life obviously without the nacelles though. Tops marks fella
