Golden "Miniatures" Of Enterprise's Ships

Hey there everyone ! If anyone has noticed I've been pretty busy lately with remaking Enterprise Star Fleet ships. At first I had little problems with making some of the shapes but I got through and now it's 99% pleasure so I decided to remake ALL Earth vessels from the show I'm not yet very skilled with texturing so two days ago I decided that I will cover the models in gold (almost, it's as close as I can get) material but retain all of the details of the big ships (I'm aiming at level of details comparable to the show). Here is my newest ships from the Fleet, the NX Alpha in ... um ... pre-alpha stage

I worked on it for about 5 minutes so it may not look like much but I'm already working on an update. And Here's another shot of the Intrepid and Neptune which I did earlier, this time in 24K hull plating . They are a good example of the detail level which NX alpha will also feature.

Little update on the NX Alpha . Pylons and nacelles are just base primitives and the final version will be a lot different. Since there are no detailed images of the ship, I will be adding my own details so in the end the ship may not be an exact replica but I'll do my best

C&C welcome

Nice detail on the NX test ship. Not sure about the gold... I always think models look quite classy when they're an untextured grey colour.

Thanks I also like the standard grey but the gold miniatures also look classy , at least in my opinion. Anyway, I will texture all of the ship with grey aztec maps so don't worry

Maybe silver/platinum/white gold lol? They would fit in very well with the 'greyness' of the enterprise era, as well as look classy...seriously though, nice job with the detail...i should really get back to modelling sometime.

Ok Pearse, I think you will like the second image

I updated the nacelles and the main hull. There's not much left on the references so I will have to come up with details for the rest on my own.

Looks like we posted at the same time About the colors ... hmmm ... it would be interesting to see ships made of those materials. I will check them out tomorrow. Thanks for the idea And thank you for the feedback. If you want to go back to modelling, don't wait any longer From all the people I know by person, only one does something connected to graphics. Others just comment ... if it continues that way, soon there will be no artists on the world ! Nah, just joking. But you should get back to modelling
