| small update. Finished a couple more shader setups including the buildings on the bottom city. I ended up remodeling that area as well to work a bit better. No pic yet, but it's rendering as I type and should finish up in a couple of hours. Close-ups are a bitch. ![]() In the mean time, here is my last render. just a lighting test for the vents. ![]() also, something of more interest. I'm uploading a new attachment with a nebula test comp to the thumbnail slot on page 1. Sorry for the small image, but I didn't want to wait too long for a render. ![]() here it is so you don't have to browse to page one. |

That's what I always do. In fact the render from last night is currently in process again with a few fixes. the in-progress images take about 2 1/4 hrs each depending on how close to the camera parts are. the nebula test took about 30 minutes for the station, and only 2-3 minutes for each of the nebula components. I have to render them in a separate file because that technique isn't compatible with final gather. Plus that allows me to paint on a few final details to give the nebula a bit more character. | |

| Wow this is absolutely gorgeous ! The lighting is really well done and make the images more realistic and moody. Can't wait to see a big render of the nebula |
